Brand New: //MORD FUSTANG\\

Today I present you an all new track from the extremely young producer Mord Fustang. This guy has been releasing remixes that have been just mindblowing in my opinion. I have been using at least 10 of his songs during the parties I put on, and I love his combination of uplifting soft flute-like synths with a “wobble or two.”

Check out his latest work:

NEW: Porter Robinson | Get Brain//Hello

Today I’m going to focus on the new prodigy producer and dj, who just finished touring with Tiesto in the College Invasion tour: Porter Robinson. Many of you have heard the various works of art this 20 year old kid has created to make his way up to the president of the new generation of electronic djs. His newest Album “Spitfire” has been hitting every djs top 10 chart since it has come out. Just recently, Porter Robinson released two tracks that caught my attention:

It amazes me how he has such a distinct sound, yet he is able to keep producing more and more compositions that sound nothing alike. Major props to this kid and we will be seeing a ton of him in 2012.

Musica de Madrid: David Belogolovsky.

I got a very special treat for you guys. After attending a bunch of events and clubs here in Madrid, I started to get a feel of the kind of music they listen to. First off, its 99% electronic (take a lesson, U.S.A.) Their mainstream is a combination of sexy female vocals and catchy electro house//fidget beats. Here are 4 of the biggest songs out here right now, and when I return to SCU and throw down, expect them in my sets. Ill let the music do the rest of the talking:

DJ Mag #2 Club in the World: Fabrik, Madrid.

DJ Mag Top 100 released the 2011 Top 100 clubs of the year. Coming in second place is a club called Fabrik. Being just 30 minutes outside of the heart of Madrid, this was something truly ridiculous. The line was out the door, around the venue, into another lot. Thousands of both local and foreign teens pushed and shoved to get into this prestigious club, where artists such as Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, 2ManyDJs, and Carl Cox have performed. Last Night was their CocoLoco Christmas Party, which was free entrance before 1, and closed at 8 am in the morning. Thats right, in Madrid, you pregame at midnight. Here is What DJ Mag had to say:

#2. Fabrik
Address: Madrid, Spain Capacity: 5000 Web: www.grupo-kapital.com/fabrik

Who’s up for a rave pilgrimage, then? "Where to?" you ask with your eyes bright and ears pricked. To the place all discerning clubbers should travel to, my pretties. Where crystalline lasers blind and sonics ring sweet, where disco balls hang like large shiny haemorrhoids - the way you'd think of God's as big. There's no place quite like Fabrik, Madrid? Okay, so the club's location may not be all that - an industrial park an hour or so away from the many fashion boutiques and swanky tapas bars of the city centre is hardly idyllic - but once inside, none of this counts one iota. Decked to the rafters with carnivalesque paraphernalia and shrouded in mind-blowing laser trickery, Fabrik's gargantuan air-hanger of a room is an all-consuming barrel of hedonism, an epic laserdrome of sound, colour and energy that swallows you up and flips you head-over-heels only to spit you out onto the concrete outside eight hours later as a dishevelled, runny-nosed mess.
The music ain't bad either. As well as underground label showcases for the likes of Cadenza and the odd party for Space Ibiza, regular events at Fabrik include Supermartxe, Code, Vertigo and Goa - the monthly festival-sized party, which starts on Sunday afternoon and finishes up on Monday morning. In the last twelve months the club has welcomed dOP, Richie Hawtin, DJ Hell, Steve Bug, Luciano and Carl Craig to fill the cavernous space with deafening noise. Convinced?

I seriously never want to leave Madrid. This place only gets crazier by the day.

Club Kapital: Madrid.

Last night I had the opportunity to be able to go to a 7 story club in Madrid called Kapital. This club is ridiculous. There are 7 stories, each story has a specific theme / importance. The first floor is the main dance stage. This floor has a massive LED backdrop and tons of lights and effects that literally blow the US club scene away. The next couple floors all represented different dance music. Moombah, Hip Hop, House, etc. In between those and the top there were multiple lounges and at the very top an open roofed smoking section. It was literally something I have never experienced before.

The sets on the mainstage were amazing. These DJ’s weren’t anything special, but they combined both real instruments and DJing. Here are two videos from the night that you need to check out!

I also uploaded more photos on my Madrid Tab from Kapital and El Parque de Retiro if you guys want to take a peak.

NEW: CAZZETTE//STEVE AOKI (Must Hear)

This morning we got two artists that we are going to focus on. The first is a duo that goes by the moniker Cazzette. I had the lucky opportunity to see them open for Avicii in SF at Ruby Skye back in September, and these guys definately bring the heat. I use a lot of their stuff in my sets and their drops are definately something new and appealing. Here are two of their newer songs that have pushed them into the electro house scene:

Heres another song by Cazzette that definately demonstrates their ability to slow it down and take a breath.

Now for the one and only Steve Aoki. This guy runs Dim Mak records and to be honest has found some of the most amazing talent I have heard in 2011. His newest album “Wonderland” is like something I have never heard before. He teamed up with everyone you can think of: River Cuomo, Wyner Gordon, Zuper Blahq, Lil Jon, Chiddy Bang, Blaqstarr & Kay, Kid Cudi, and Travis Barker! I sifted through the album and came to the conclusion that you need to listen to every song. Every song is so different, you can’t just pull out a couple and say those are the banger singles. Ill let you guys explore the album for yourselves, but heres one of my personal favorites. Check out this video!

Enjoy.

Kaskade: Turn It Down Remixes

Good morning everyone!

A couple days ago I came across a whole new set of remixes of Kaskade’s song “Turn it Down.” Many of you have heard about Kaskades newest dual album “Fire & Ice,” which for the first time in history broke through the Itunes top 10 Albums. This is history because EDM and House music has a very heavy following in Europe and other parts of the world, yet the US is still stuck on the Top 40 crap we hear everyday on 94.9. When I first heard “Turn it Down,” I loved the song a lot but felt as though there wasnt enough punch on the drop. You can take a listen to the original for yourself, but I can help you save some time by presenting you this amazing remix by LCV (Le Castle Vania):

NEW: SOFI//SKRILLEX//CHUCKIE//WIZ REMIX

Good Morning!

We got a real treat this morning. We have a brand new collaboration between Skrillex and Sofi, the amazing woman of mau5trap records. Her vocals and samples are becoming a necessary staple in the edm scene, especially being affiliated through Deadmau5 and his record label. Take a look for yourself:

Everyone knows the infamous “What Happens In Vegas” banger by DJ Chuckie. Yes, its that time. Remix time. There are a total of four of them that you can get on beatport, but I decided to pull out my favorite: (Preview), Full version available on Beatport.

For those in the mood to chill and not melt your bassface I present you with a super laidback chillstep remix of Wiz’s “This Plane.”

Be sure to check out SOFI’s newest EP “Locked & Loaded Pt.2” If you’ve instantly fallen in love with her as have I.

DJ3WProductions: Revamped.

Good Afternoon from Madrid!

DJ3WPr
oductions just got a facelift all the way from Madrid. I am currently spending two weeks in Spain to enjoy the culture, music, and atmosphere, and wanted to share some tunes that I also came across as well. DJ3W is currently in the processes of releasing another single so stay tuned!! Much more to come.

First things first, Kaskade released his Fire/Ice Dual album not too long ago, and of course we have all been sitting tight to see what remixes are going to come out of it. His partnership with Skrillex in “Lick it” demonstrated two different spectrums of the edm world coming together to form this rugged, 128 based anthem that was still missing something key. I now present you the official DJ Icey Remix of Lick it:

Lick It (DJ Icey Remix) by DJ Icey

Lastly I know many of you guys love the infamous Red Hot Chili Peppers, and I came across a very solid, funky remix of Snow (Hey Oh). Its a moombah slapper for sure, bringin out the slow 102 bpm. Check it:

Also, Check out my Madrid, Spain Tab. Ive been taking some breathtaking photos and you guys can download them as wallpaper if you want.
